District Governor – Lion Rose Burrus “Connecting Through Service” Lion Rose Burrus retired from Civil Service after serving the men and women of our Armed Forces for more than 35 years. She directly supported the 18th Airborne Corps, the 82nd Airborne Division, and deployed service members as Deputy Director of the Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) office. Her financial and project management experience significantly improved activities and coordination at the highest levels of government to include her personal deployment to multiple combat zones and over 30 countries across the globe. After retiring in 2011, Lion Rose looked for volunteer opportunities. An opportunity to learn about Lions presented itself, and she joined the Stafford County Lion Club. Lion Rose’s commitment and determination to learning contributed greatly while serving in and exceling in a myriad of club and district positions. Positions held included President, Secretary, Zone Chair, Membership Chair, and District Global Service Team Coordinator. Lion Rose has participated in thousands of hours coordinating and supporting in multiple areas of need. Her desire to connect with the community at continuingly higher levels and make a significant difference in people’s lives spurs her enthusiasm to continue to strive tirelessly in the Lions organization. Lion Rose has been recognized separately by the Chairman, Lions Clubs International Foundation and the International Director for her tremendous efforts to enhance and expand the USA/KidSight program in Stafford County. Lion Rose offers enthusiasm and determination to continue the good work of the Lions. | |
First Vice District Governor – Lion Donalda Lovelace Lion Donalda has been a member of the Lake of the Woods Lioness Lions Club since 2012 and became President in 2017, Zone Chair 2018-2021 and District 24-L North American Membership Initiative Champion (GMA). For the last two years she has served as her clubs Membership Co-Chair. She has served the club as Chairperson of Awards Committee, Constitution and By-Laws, Webmaster, Concert on the Point, and White Cane and volunteered on every fundraising activity since she joined. She is a graduate of the Regional Lions Leadership Institute (2018) and Advance Lions Leadership Institute (2021). She is a 2018 recipient MD24 Council of Governors Distinguished Service Award and a recipient of two Certificates of Appreciation from Lions International Presidents (2017-2018 and 2020-2021). She is a retired Chief Executive Officer of Ardmore Enterprises, a mother of two daughters, and a grandmother. | |

| Immediate Past District Governor – Lion Joel Kendall Joined the Lions in 2005: Louisa County Lions, Various jobs starting with Lion Tamer, then Secretary for three years. President for two years, then various board and director positions. 2nd Vice District Governor in 2017. 1st Vice District Governor in 2020. RLLI training 2008. Born in Chicago IL. Served in the US Navy as a Corpsman. Graduated from University of Central Oklahoma. Worked in sales for Air Products and Chemicals for 33 years. Moved to Mineral, in 2004. Now work in Investments and Insurance. Married to Lynne Kendall, two children and seven grandchildren. Enjoys golf. |
